Delayed Audio In Certain Programs

So I am very, very new to Linux in general. I’m pretty clueless about most things as I’m not exactly a tech or software genius but friends of mine who are more experienced with Linux have been helping me set things up. There is one issue that we encountered though which none of them know how to fix. Audio in certain programs is slightly delayed (most notably Minecraft) and it’s quite frustrating. This issue persists both on Wayland and Xorg. Thank you for the help in advance!

So, Wayland and XOrg have nothing to do with driving sound. This would be between Alsa, Pulseaudio, OSS, etc.

Could we get some information about your system?

  1. $ fpaste --sysinfo
  2. $ rpm -qa | fpaste
