Dbus-run-session removed from Silverblue

The dbus-run-session tool seems to have been removed in latest Silverblue while it is present in the Fedora 43 iso still available for download. It is still available in latest Workstation. Is that on purpose or was this unintentional?

Please provide the output of the rpm-ostree status command. Please clarify what you mean by “latest Silverblue”. What command are you executing and what errors are being displayed?

On the normal Gnome Desktop the command you asked for is part of the package:

dbus-daemon

Thanks. Indeed I noticed this package has been removed between my installation from the iso and the latest available updates. I wonder if that is intentional, the tool is still available in Fedora Workstation so that seems odd.

I have filed an issue and continue discussion over there: dbus-run-session removed from Silverblue (#106) · Issues · Fedora / Fedora Atomic Desktops / SIG Issue Tracker · GitLab

You might still give the information @hricky asked you for. Probably he has more information if you have a certain version.

p.s.
I see you made it allready in the gitlab repo
