Customizing Dolphin keyboard shortcuts

I am trying to improve the way I can use Dolphin with only the keyboard. However, for two actions I can’t figure out how to map them to a shortcut.

The first is to display the “directory history”. When I click + hold e.g. the “back” button in the toolbar, it displays the recently visited directories. Is there a way to invoke that dropdown through a keyboard shortcut?

The other action I am trying to bind to the keyboard is “Open this file in Kate”. So that when I go through the files using the cursor keys, I can just press a key to open it. For many files, Enter will already achieve that. But sometimes the default action is not the same as editing the file. That’s why I would like to have a dedicated keyboard shortcut.

Any ideas?
