I have two freshly-installed x86 machines with XFCE 4.18.6 (Fedora XFCE spin) and they cannot start Chrome recently. One has a NVIDIA RTX GPU and the other only the iGPU in an Intel 13600K processor.
Chromium 127.0.6533.88 and Firefox 128.0.3 work fine but Chrome 127.0.6533.99 crashes:
$ /opt/google/chrome/chrome
[0812/083737.699973:WARNING:chrome_main_linux.cc(80)] Read channel stable from /opt/google/chrome/CHROME_VERSION_EXTRA
[0812/083737.780349:ERROR:elf_dynamic_array_reader.h(64)] tag not found
Trace/breakpoint trap (core dumped)
I have another machine with the same Chrome version but it’s running the default Fedora Workstation build with GNOME and Chrome works fine there.
Anyone experiencing the same?
