Choosing sound source

Fedora 34 on Desktop. Sound is built-in on motherboard. Also, graphics card with HDMI. How to persuade F34 and PipeWire to look at the former instead of always/only offering the option of the latter? Please advise =dn

Could you please give us an overview of your system:

Added the following sound card info to grub (to no avail):

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="resume=UUID=1389c63a-c02a-45fa-9186-1493f5a99abf rd.lvm.lv=S
SD/Root rhgb quiet splash snd_intel_dspcfg.dsp_driver=1"

In case it’s relevant: tover the years, his system has been dnf-upgrade-d from several earlier Fedoras/Fedorae.

Any help would be appreciated =dn

Any and all advice welcome…
