che/mesa

Mesa git frequently built with llvm svn snapshots and LTO enabled. In addition to that libdrm updates are provided aswell.

This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/che/mesa/

Hi,

This morning I installed the update available on Fedora 40, but it seems it broke GDM and now I can’t login anymore, do you had similar problems?

Which videocard do you have? I do not see that behaviour here.

I retried with the latest build and I don’t have issue now, so maybe was just a bug in that build.
BTW I use the iGPU of my 7900x

That is good to hear! Thank you for the feedback!

I had to disable this repo because of problems with firefox and kitty on Wayland (FC41).

I tried to downgrade the mesa libraries because of this report on Arch and indeed this was the issue for me too.

Thanks for your report. I can not reproduce any issues with firefox and kitty on wayland with the very latest build. Could you please try it again and see if the issue is fixed? Thank you very much!

It seems there was a first attempt merged to get the issue fixed here which also fixed it for some people:

And then there was a second merge request opened here:

Letting me know if the issue still occurs to you or if another patch eventually already fixed it would be very helpful!

this mesa has any codec restriction like the default fedora mesa?, thanks

When using the copr infrastructure you are unfortunately bound to the same legal restrictions as fedora is.
