I use Evolution to connect to a corporate Office365 account; the way this works is that Evolution pops up a web view (styled “Office365 Mail authentication request”) every once in a while where I need to auth against OWA (the Outlook Web ui thing), and then all is well. In its infinite wisdom, $work started requiring certificate authentication for this. I have the certificate, and can easily get it imported into Firefox and Chromium, which makes OWA work in the browser, but I can’t figure out how to do the same for the embedded web view that Evolution uses. There is a “Certificates” section in the Evolution preferences, but it seems to only cover S/MIME and similar usecases, not certificates for authenticating to the email account itself.
