Can I abandon a "spin" on upgrade to F37?

I installed the KDE “Spin” on my then-new laptop. KDE wasn’t what I hoped, and I had a few issues, so I installed Gnome and now, I’m honestly not sure how much different my system is.

I’d like to upgrade to the regular F37 workstation.

Is that possible and simple, or would there be less risk of complications to do a back up, and download the Fedora Workstation “official edition” image, and reinstall/restore?

It is certainly possible to do but there are always left overs from the different configurations that may or may not impact you later.

I would recommend backing up and reinstalling with the workstation image.
