About the News & Announcements category

Watch this category to keep up with what’s going on in Fedora. By default, you’ll get a notification for the first post in any topic here. You can customize what you’re alerted about by changing your preferences for the different tags and subcategories.

#releases — New Fedora Linux releases (including betas).

#events — upcoming get-togethers, virtual and (hopefully soon!) in-person!

#project-news — big-deal news relevant to users and contributors alike.

#test-days — help test Changes and other important parts of the distro.

#polls — provide your feedback!

#socialFedora Social Hour and related things which don’t really qualify as full Events.

Generally, #social announcements will have one topic that updates — to stay informed on a particular thing, watch that topic in specific.

Community Blog — mirrors Fedora Community Blog posts and allows comments and discussion. This is the place for contributor announcements and may be relatively high-traffic, so it’s set by default to Tracking rather than Watching

Podcast — new episodes and other announcements for the Fedora Podcast.

Site Help and Feedback — not really news, but we wanted it here near the top.
