I like and use KDE (51:49 over gnome) Last time I ran “upgrade” I ended up with Gnome and it caused a huge problems. What are the odds that if I do an “dnf upgrade” it will upgrade KDE and not Gnome. Thanks
If you installed kde plasma then the upgrade will upgrade to f41 kde plasma.
But if you installed gnome and then installed kde on top of that you will bet both gnome and kde plasma packages upgraded.
You can see which version of Fedora you have in two ways to see what you installed.
$ rpm -qa | grep release
lsb_release-3.3-4.fc41.noarch
fedora-release-identity-kde-41-27.noarch
fedora-release-kde-41-27.noarch
fedora-release-common-41-27.noarch
$ hostnamectl
