When will the Fedora 42 beta be released?

Hi.I am Fedora user.I want to know Fedora 42 Beta Release date.Who of you knows?

https://fedorapeople.org/groups/schedule/f-42/f-42-key-tasks.html

errrrr…I’m not sure what day it is.Is it March 11th or March 18th?

The Early date, March 11, is if everything is perfect and no delay at all is needed, the likely date is the “Current beta target” one, or March 18

I use Linux operating systems for 17 years now and with every distro and every new version this thread keeps popping up: when will the new release be released cause I want it.

People, it is ready when it is ready and not one second earlier. Be patient and wait till the light turns green. Is that so difficult? Apparently yes cause it still happens. The mentality of the people have changed so much during my life time and NOT for the best.
Twenty, thirty, forty years (no, not only in the Linux world) ago we were happy when a new version would be released, now people demand it to be ready when they “need” it.
Stop doing that!

OK,I will patient it.

The OP simply asked a valid question. He didn’t complain it was delayed or anything.

But in general if you’re on Fedora 41, you won’t really notice anything on 42 that’s massively different. The only thing noticeably different I see is on Fedora 42 you get kernel 6.14 out of the box while with 41 you’d have to install it yourself. So if you have some hardware that’s better supported on 6.14, that might be a reason to push for 42.

As a super important user of Linux of 17 years, why not just skip over the question if it draws you into some weird entitled rage?

I ended up on this post because I searched for release date of F42.

Like the OP, I wasn’t demanding anything. It’s called curiosity & research. And enjoying the time spent doing it.

Wow. Straight to instant pitchfork, might want to check the mirror on who has changed. Or should.
