Weird connection issues when waking up from suspend

hey all, I ran into a problem the last couple of days after a recent update where my system resumes from suspend and kde can’t use wifi. It shows connected in KDE network settings, I can use it for the most part (web traffic in browser, ping from terminal etc), but my vpn can’t connect to it, some other appimages and the like seem to be hit or miss til I fix it, and the kde system tray applet shows it being disconnected. If I log out and back in again, it goes right back to working like expected. Restarting the network interface or NetworkManager has no effect.
Running dmesg shows:
[ 732.174012] iwlwifi 0000:00:14.3: WRT: Invalid buffer destination
but I honestly can’t guarantee that that is related to be honest.

I am kind of stumped, but its a bit of a system breaker for me not to be able to put the laptop to sleep without losing tasks with having to log back out and in on resume, any help would be appreciated!
I can post logs if I need to, just let me know which ones might be needed.
