Unable to install libreoffice as a layered package

Hi, I am unable to install libre office as a layered package even though i have complelely uninstalled libre office flatpak version. below is the error

Have you tried rpm-ostree install libreoffice?

I tried rpm-ostree install libre office and it outputs a similar error

It would appear that you may have installed from the command line an incompatible version of libobasis that then conflicts with the dependencies of libreoffice.

Try removing what was installed from the command line then install libreoffice.

There is never a guarantee that rpms installed from a 3rd party repo will function without errors. Rpms that you install from the fedora repos are tested to function properly on fedora.

Also remember that many different apps created config files under the users home directory and that switching between the repos used may result in incompatible configs. A clean removal of the rpms from the system does not remove those configs and it is up to the user to identify them and clean them up manually.

Your syntax is invalid here

The package name is libreoffice-base-24.8.4.2-2.fc41.x86_64 and you must give at least the correct syntax. For example that would be remove libreoffice-base without a version number or remove libreoffice-base-24.8\* to include the version number.

Similarly this invalid syntax

may work with libreoffice\* (escape the glob)

I don’t think rpm-ostree uninstall supports globbing patterns (*), so you’ll need to list the packages manually, or use rpm-ostree uninstall --all, then reinstall anything you wanted to keep.

P.S. You should be careful using * without quoting or escaping it. If those patterns had matched files in the current directory, the shell would have expanded them to include those filenames.
