Suspend button does nothing

Hey there,

I am using Fedora 43 with kernel version 6.18.5-200.fc43.x86_64 on my Dell Pro Max 14 Premium MA14250.

Often, though not always, when I try to suspend simply nothing happens.
I know that behavior from other machines when I for example forgot to close an ssh connection.
But recently I have this problem almost all the time.

Can I check somewhere why my machine is not suspending, i.e., what processes keep it from suspending?
Can I change settings to suspend anyway?

Ty for any help!

EDIT: This seems related but is not answered: Suspend doesn't work on Fedora 41 Gnome

EDIT 2: I found more info here: Can't suspend with power button in Fedora 36
systemctl suspend
gives me
Operation inhibited by “franzbethke” (PID 4396 “gnome-session-s”, user franzbethke), reason is “user session inhibited”.
Please retry operation after closing inhibitors and logging out other users.
‘systemd-inhibit’ can be used to list active inhibitors.
Alternatively, ignore inhibitors and users with ‘systemctl suspend -i’.

EDIT 3: I found that systemd-inhibit lists 10 processes some owned by root and some by my user BUT one owned by signal-desktop. Indeed closing my signal desktop application fixed the problem.

User determined that the issue is caused by signal-desktop.
