When i install Fedora 42, there are always become two SSD in boot menu instead i have one…

lsblk

NAME MAJ:MIN RM SIZE RO TYPE MOUNTPOINTS
zram0 251:0 0 8G 0 disk [SWAP]
nvme0n1 259:0 0 953,9G 0 disk
├─nvme0n1p1 259:1 0 763M 0 part /boot/efi
├─nvme0n1p2 259:2 0 954M 0 part /boot

Also if i check /dev/disk/by-id there is the same

Looks like some kind of bug, because when i tried to install Ubuntu a few month ago, i had one SSD in boot menu as should be.

efibootmgr

Those EFI boot entries are essentially the same:
What's the right boot order for shim.efi and shimx64.efi files?

You can safely ignore the duplicate, it is for backward compatibility:
Tree - rpms/shim - src.fedoraproject.org

So this is ok too for Fedora?

nvme-YMTC_PC300-1TB-B_YMA21T0JA23423068Y → ../../nvme0n1
nvme-YMTC_PC300-1TB-B_YMA21T0JA23423068Y_1 → ../../nvme0n1

You are confusing:

  • The EFI boot entries detected by the PC firmware when Linux is not even booted yet, see the command I mentioned above.
  • The disk IDs listed by the running Linux kernel, but this is unrelated to the EFI bootloader.

To be clear, your output looks correct.

I understand, but anyway it looks strange. Also there were not such behavior with ubuntu.

Thanks for your reply.
