Hi there,
When I open Gnome software app, I find this update.
I tried installing it multiple times and reboot with finding it again.
I also tried those commands:
sudo fwupdmgr refresh
sudo fwupdmgr update
But, still the same issue.
I have secure boot enabled.
I don’t knkow if this actually matters or not, but the grub doesn’t appear even before the update and only when I tried those above commands, it appeared 2-3 times and disappeared again.
What are you referring to? Fwupdmgr is not 3rd party.
That is the same software that is lying around on the vendors web sites right?
For vendors that support fwupdmgr I can use it to update by firmware or I can use the procedure documented on the vendor web site.
Often meaning I need Windows to run some app the vendors uses.
I know what I prefer, and I trust fwupdmgr.
For those having the same issue.
I reset the secure boot key from Bios settings and installed the updates through the Gnome software app and it worked. I also tried sudo fwupdmgr update
and and gives me no updates.
For the grub not showing, I used this command sudo grub2-editenv - unset menu_auto_hide
and worked, too.
