Screen Resolution Resets on Reboot

Hi all,

I’m running Fedora 35 Workstation in a Virtualbox VM, host is Windows 11 (upgraded from 10). I’ve got the guest additions installed, and I can select my resolution (2560x1440), and it works - until I reboot. Then it goes straight back to 800x600 and I have to manually change it again. I’ve checked my VBox settings and everything seems to be the way it should be. This is the only Linux VM I have this issue with - all my others (Arch, Kali, CentOS) work fine. I’m running the same (latest) versions of Virtualbox and the Guest Additions.

I’m wondering if I might have to manually configure the resolution in a config file somewhere, but it’s been a long time since I’ve had to do that, and I’m not sure where to start now, since I understand that X.org has possibly been replaced by Wayland and I’m not familiar with that.

Any help is appreciated!
