Screen lock loop on dual monitor setup

I’m experiencing a lock loop. I’ll explain what I mean.

I set my screens to turn off 20 seconds after my screen is locked. When I lock my screen I get the following sequence of events:

Screens turn off :right_arrow: The chime plays :right_arrow: Screens turn on :right_arrow: Lock screen displays :right_arrow: Screen turns off…

and the sequence repeats ad infinitum.

I’m running Fedora 42, KDE Plasma, x86_64 architecture, kernel 6.15.4-200. I have a dual display setup, 2 screens side by side, no scaling, nothing really weird, pretty vanilla.

All software up to date, except that I upgraded qt6-qtwayland to version 6.9.1-3 due to this issue - but the problem also occurs if I downgrade to 6.9.1-1.

Would appreciate if anyone could shed any light.
