Updated for 44.4 (gnome-shell is discontinued in this repo, as the previously applied patch (MR2767) doesn’t affect performance)

Getting error on Fedora Silverblue:

error: importing RPMs: creating importer: Processing file-overrides for package mutter: Invalid absolute filepath ‘0001-place-Always-center-initial-setup-fedora-welcome.patch’

44.5 is in fedora repos, can you rebuild the patched package please when it’s convenient. Thanks!

Thanks for the info. Just updated to 44.5

Thank you a lot! GNOME works perfectly smooth now.

Thank you! Works very well even with NVIDIA drivers.

Hi,
Thanks for your work, it’s really nice to have a recent version of mutter with performance patch!
I can confirm that it does not work on silverblue, I have the same error message as @lordkordus : “error: importing RPMs: creating importer: Processing file-overrides for package mutter: Invalid absolute filepath ‘0001-place-Always-center-initial-setup-fedora-welcome.patch’”
Does someone achieve to install mutter patched on silverblue 38?
Thanks you

I’m using this one on Silverblue. You’ll have to override replace mutter and mutter-common packages.

Don’t want to be rude to the maintainer of this COPR, just helping out another Silverblue user.

Thanks @kordus it works well!

A friendly note that 44.6-1.fc38 is in fedora repos now, the perf build is 44.5.
