Mounting Asahi partition as secondary drive in macOS VM (Qemu)

Hi,

I found an article that demonstrated the possibility of mounting an asahi partition (or any other partition on an apple partition table) on an Alpine VM host on macOS. I tried following it, but it isn’t possible to just mount a raw disk to a directory using the mount command, you’d have to mount a partition. Would there be any way to consolidate a handful of partitions into a mock disk with qemu, or some way around this in general?

It’s definitely possible to mount a whole disk to a directory with mount, there’s no need to partition. Many SD cards are formatted this way, and it’s also a common setup with VMs in some environments. What issue are you running into?
