In the update Center “Discover” I find the following:
I am not sure if I want this? Is it needed? How is this related to UEFI?
It says “Microsoft” after all and I went away from Microsoft Windows for a reason.
Thanks and cheers, Michael

You want it if you use secure boot
. It’s the secure boot signature database. There are two variants. The db
and dbx
package. One applies new keys, one removes old keys.
Alright, thank you very much for clarifying!
By the way, I’m not sure why, but I also got this update, and I just installed it, cause I trust Fedora, but the strangest part, is that I explicity disabled secureboot, looong time ago, and yet I got this update… odd
You still get it if you have secure boot disabled. It doens’t hurt to have the updates even if you do not use secure boot.
Good to know thanks. And indeed, I just let any updates into my PC, cause I like to keep it all fresh, no matter what :3 After all, it arrives from Fedora,- they have all my trust
