On a whim I measured disk latencies on my system with the command ioping -c 10 .
, and on a BTRFS RAID0 array with two mechanical hard drives, LUKS encryption and FS compression I got this result:

So the average latencies for the HDD array and the NVMe drive are 0.19 ms 7.34 ms respectively. This is the opposite result of what I would have expected. Am I misinterpreting these results, or what?
