Logitech USB receiver devices randomly innoperable when using a thunderbolt dock

Hello again. Sorry but it has been busy at work.

I am going to try to re do this commands again fpaste --sysinfo --printonly |grep -i logitech and fpaste --sysinfo --printonly |grep -i usb
I will run it as follows:

  • As soon as the system boots and everything works( with all the peripherals )
  • As soon as the keyboard and mouse stop working (with all the peripherals)
  • As soon as the system boots and everything works (without the camera)
  • As soon as the keyboard and mouse stop working (without the camera)

the output of all these was the same for all. there was no change after the keyboard and mouse stopped working. I am not going to paste the result because it is basically the same as already posted.
I am not sure where to go from next as I am not able to find any useful log information when the disconnect happens.

@ilikelinux welp I am back with more details on this saga.
Turns out this is not logitech related. I recently got a keychron Q14 keyboard that comes with its own 24GHz receiver and it has the exact same problem.

I am going to install Fedora 41 to see if that fixes anything

Quoting Logitech Support – Problems connecting mouse or keyboard:

Plugging the receiver into a USB hub or other unsupported device such as a KVM switch (NOTE: Your receiver must be plugged directly into your computer.)

well, if this setup didn’t work before then I would agree but this was working up until a few updates ago as mentioned earlier. this is also not limited to logitech
