Hi, for the past month kernel updates have been broken for me on CentOS Stream 9.
Kernel 5.14.0-503.el9.x86_64 boots correctly as expected, however newer ones 5.14.0-508.el9.x86_64 and 5.14.0-511.el9.x86_64 fails to boot. There’s no debug message, it simply doesn’t get past the initial booting process after grub selection, can’t even dump the boot.log. Any ideas? Updating process was the usual (dnf update), it passed all verifications.
Could this possibly be related to secure-boot/tpm, as in 129302? This hardware has secure boot disabled.
Any help appreciated.
Did you try removing rhgb and quiet from the grub boot?
