Kf5-baloo-file stopping upgrade to FC40 on plasma

I can’t get dnf to system-upgrade to 40 because "package kf5-baloo-file-5.116.0-1.fc39.x86_64 from @System requires kf5-baloo-libs(x86-64) = 5.116.0-1.fc39, but none of the providers can be installed

kf5-baloo-libs-5.116.0-1.fc39.x86_64 from @system does not belong to a distupgrade repository"

–skip-broken doesn’t work.

I can’t remove baloo since it is protected by plasma

the only repositories I have added are RPM fusion and one for my VPN.

Could this be related to the topic on baloo not indexing?

So the discover application managed to upgrade the KDE spin to FC40. I have no idea how that worked and the command line wouldn’t.

I’m also experiencing that now trying to upgrade to F40 and getting:

No match for group package “samyak-malayalam-fonts”
Error:

  • kf5-baloo-libs-5.116.0-1.fc39.x86_64 from @System does not belong to a distupgrade repository
  • problem with installed package kf5-baloo-file-5.116.0-1.fc39.x86_64
    (try to add ‘–skip-broken’ to skip uninstallable packages)

This has been a minimally changed server which was installed on vanilla F39 with KDE spin, and has had basically no KDE interaction since the initial setup other than 'dnf update’s and an attempted ‘sudo dnf system-upgrade download --releasever=40’ as of tonight, so no major customization/tinkering with the GUI since installation.

E: I am willing to make backups of KDE config files and rip out KDE entirely to later install it again manually post-upgrade, but would prefer to not have to do that
