Hi
Every time I try to boot with 6.12.7-200 I get kernel panic, check the screen. 6.12.6 works fine.
After booting to to the older kernel try reinstalling the 6.12.7 kernel with
sudo dnf reinstall kernel\*6.12.7\*
Works. Thank you.
Hi, I have a similar problem with the same kernel update. I tried removing and installing, or a simple reinstall, but it doesn’t work. The boot doesn’t finish, at first in the screen appear is loading, but after it shows a ok’s screen, and finally it stays in a screen with a blinking cursor. My lap has discrete graphics, rtx 2050, it has all the drivers installed and updated.
I keep booting with no problem with the previous kernel.
I am having the same issue on Fedora 41 VM under VMware Fusion 13.6.2. In my case, selecting any of the older kernels, including the rescue, does the same thing…kernel panic then blinking cursor.
Your error seems slightly different with the nvidia drivers.
While booted to the previous kernel please run sudo akmods --rebuild --force --kernels 6.12.7-200.fc41.x86_64
and let us know the result the next time you boot.
