Just migrated to fedora and have strange dependencies issues

I just migrated to fedora 41 gnome from manjaro cinnamon and i have strange dependencies issues

for example when i uninstall dnfdragora package via gnome software store it uninstalls dnf itself

even when i cofigure dnf.conf to “clean_requirements_on_remove=False”

am i missing something cause this is not normal right?

Hi and welcome to :fedora: . I assume you’re on F41 Workstation edition.

How did you install dnfdragora, given that the package is not in the base install?

What is the output of sudo dnf remove dnfdragora?

This also might be due to dnfdragora still utilizing the older version of dnf vice dnf5.

This sound strange, as on Fedora 41 you will by default have dnf5 installed and not dnf as those two packages conflict each other. You can have python3-dnf installed which will provide the dnf4 command.

In my experience, uninstalling dnfdragora won’t cause dnf itself to be uninstalled.
