I installed fedora workstation 39 on my asus expertbook b1402cv but the internal keyboard is not detected. Touch pad works fine. If i connect external keyboard or mouse it works perfectly. The problem is with the internal keyboard. I also tried linux mint with live cd which also cannot detect the internal keyboard. I searched internet and I discovered that the problem comes with the kernel. I’m not a professional and I’m just trying to port from windows to linux. I’ve got headache and I could not find a working solution for it. Could please kindly someone help me and guide me to overcome this issue.

There is an old (last updated in October 2023 and marked as “fixed”) bug report for ASUS laptops with user reports that the issue was fixed with recent kernels. Please make sure you have applied all Fedora and vendor firmware updates. If the problem is not fixed, post the output from running inxi -Fzxx in a terminal (as searchable text, using the </> button).
