Installing Asahi Fedora on External Drive for A Portable Install

I’m trying to replicate these instructions for install Asahi Fedora on an external drive: link. However, these instructions are for Arch. Does anyone know how to replicate this for Asahi Fedora and have instructions/a guide for how to do so?

There is no such thing as a “portable OS install” for Apple Silicon Macs, as they do not support USB boot at all. That is simply not possible. Even in the best case of pseudo-external boot, every OS booted on a computer must be authorized by the machine owner and boot files copied to the internal SSD to boot.

The most you can do to day is move some of your Linux filesystems to USB, but the install will still be tethered to a particular machine with the boot components installed on the internal SSD. This setup is not supported by us at this time, so you’ll have to do it manually, and it will break with things like suspend/resume since that causes a USB reset at this time.
