Do you want to use USB tethering, or to set up a hotspot on your phone and use your laptop’s wifi to connect to that?
USB tethering
So there were initially some problems with USB tethering on Fedora 42, However, if you have a fully updated system (kernel >= 6.14.6) then I believe it should work - see Usb-tethering stopped working after F42 update.
What happens when you try? (i.e. connect your phone to your laptop, then enable USB tethering on the phone)
the things I need to do on the xiaomi cellphine to enable usb tethering
are too complicated for me,
I won’t bother,
(I thought it was something easy)
