Hello Are People Running Chatbots On The Forum?

I couldn’t help but notice, as a certified human being, but in trying to start a conversation on the Fedora Forums website: https://discussion.fedoraproject.org it appears I’m getting responses that resemble chat bots.

I’m new here, didn’t see the-there will be chatbots disclaimer-so I guess that’s a thing people are doing now? It’s normal? Widespread?

Anyways, I hope you guys are doing well

sincerely, k4rn4lp4n4c

No chatbots that I’m aware of - there is an AI summariser to condense a thread into an easily readable précis but that’s about it.

No chatbots, it’s just the way IT pros talk

So in theory, people could absolutely-simply run chatbots on webforums though right…

Because looking at the internet, it looks like there’s chatbot activity, that has hyperinflated in recent years, it’s not suprising to me to see it on web forums

Yea for sure. Tweeter and Bleditt are full of them.

So you’re saying that on the Fedora forums, people could be running chat bots, possibly

ok now I’m repeating myself. : D You guys are fun

Just havin’ a good time

I don’t think anyone on Fedora Forums is a chat-bot, but who knows, maybe I’m failing my Turing Test skill check.

You’re absolutely correct… (c) Claude, eight thousand times per day.

So we’re all just botting around here at :fedora:

Well I for one, do not have a chat bot, I think they’re strange new technology, that really kinda is actually old technology, like a TV commercial, so it’s not actually, so special

Other people feel differently, other people think chat bots are special, we are different people, we feel differently

such is life
