Freedesktop DBus Error

Hey Everyone,

I’m recently running into an issue while trying to update my computer (HP Spectre). During the standard update sequence, I get the following message:

Warning: Pending offline transaction has been invalidated
To reschedule, run: dnf5daemon-server

When I run that code I get the following error:

sudo dnf5daemon-server
Fatal error: [org.freedesktop.DBus.FileExists] Failed to request bus name (File Exists)

Potentially unrelated, but I’m also getting a curl error (56) when trying to grab updates from Fedora 44. Any ideas?

It usually means that an offline transaction was scheduled earlier but its no longer considered valid. Maybe because the package state was changed before updating?

There is also a same error here ^

Probably your curl(56) error might be the reason behind dnf5dameon-server message.

You will need to clean the offline transaction then refresh for normal update.

sudo dnf5 offline clean
sudo dnf5 clean all
sudo dnf5 upgrade --refresh
systemctl reboot

If curl(56) erorr returns i wouldnt change DNS at first but rather get the full error.
If it does then share the output of

sudo dnf5 upgrade --refresh

Also make sure to disable automatic update and download in Gnome Software.
