Hi, I’ve recently run into an issue using the Firefox flatpak where I’m completely unable to download anything. I’ve tried all the usual stuff for accessing files inside flatpaks, including specifying download location each time and trying to find the files inside the sandbox, and nothing’s working. The specific issue I’m seeing is that when I go to download a file, Firefox correctly launches a folder picker dialogue, I pick the location, the file appears to download correctly, but then there’s nothing there. If I navigate to the download location using Firefox’s built in file browser I can see it there but even searching for it through the entire host system I can’t see it from the host. Strangely, I was able to use portals a couple of updates ago, when I first set the system up, but now on the latest versions of 39 and 40 I just get the internal location picker instead of a portal dialogue.
I am using a slightly custom setup with Flatseal, but the only changes I’ve made are setting Firefox to use a custom home with the launch command and to disable X11, both of which were in place when portals were working before as well.
Does anyone have any idea what the issue might be or where to start with troubleshooting this?
