I haven’t received an update in weeks, which sounded strange to me, so I forced an upgrade by running rpm-ostree upgrade
. After rebooting, the system asks for my disk encryption password, presents me the gdm login screen, and logs me in. As soon as I try to run any command, it takes me back to the gdm login screen. I disabled all Gnome extensions and startup applications, but the problem remains. I had to rpm-ostree rollback
so I could continue using my computer.
Here’s the output of rpm-ostree status
from before the rollback:
State: idle
