How can I run Linux Fedora Asahi Remix on a Macbook M2 processor via live USB? Is this possible?
Hi and welcome to !
Until someone using Fedora Asahi Remix would chime in, I am replying both as Fedora user and as a Mac user, but without having installed or used Asahi.
From what I know, there is no live ISO for Asahi (see the docs for details). What you can do, in case you’re interested to give Fedora a try before installing, is to install it in a virtual machine on your Mac. UTM is an open-source app which renders Linux VMs rather well, including native resolutions, by opting for Apple Virtualization during installation. You cand download the aarch64 ISOs either for Fedora KDE edition (Asahi comes with KDE Plasma by default), or Fedora Workstation (in case you’re interesting in GNOME as DE).
The experience is not quite on par with a bare-metal installation, but it’s good enough for forming an opinion about the DE.
