Fedora publishes countme
data weekly into a database that can be picked up from here. For the week of 2025-05-04
data it looks like our FCOS node count has increased to 108.6k (28.7k transient, 79.8k long running):
NOTE: These are only nodes with countme left enabled and able to reach the internet. There are probably more nodes out there.
Our architecture breakdown is about 48.1% x86_64
and 51.9% aarch64
. This is a continuation of strong growth for the aarch64
architecture and the first time it has eclipsed x86_64
as the most popular architecture. In February 2025 aarch64
was at 47.8%.
Like last time, our breakdown based on Fedora Linux release shows the majority of users still on Fedora Linux 40. We see a good percentage on F41 hopefully soon to be auto-updated to Fedora 42 since our stable
stream recently got updated to Fedora 42.
