Fedora 42 sound issue, sound works on boot but stops after plugging in external monitor

I have a fresh install of Fedora 42 KDE on a Lenovo Legion 9i, when I boot the laptop with no eternal monitors connected sound works fine but once I connect the docking station with 3 external monitors the sound stops working across all channels / outputs

After plugging in your external monitor, run in a terminal

alsamixer

and see if anything is muted or turned down.
