There is a known issue (which I can’t seem to find again to link here) where the screen for the encryption passphrase flashes again for a few seconds before continuing to the KDE user login screen.
My issue seems similar or related, but the second prompt doesn’t leave the screen regardless of how long I wait. Any keyboard inputs are not registered or shown on the second prompting screen, and if I hit enter or re-enter the passphrase anyway, it doesn’t continue to the KDE user login screen.
This happens with every previous version (kernel?) and the rescue version and happens with every attempted boot. It’s definitely not an issue with an incorrect passphrase; I’ve tried several times and haven’t changed the passphrase from my initial installation a few weeks ago. I’m very much new to Fedora/Linux in general, so I haven’t been sure what other troubleshooting to try since I can’t seem to find this specific issue online.
I installed Fedora 42 KDE, dual-booted alongside my Windows 11, a few weeks ago and have had no issues until now, other than the second encryption prompt flashing for a few seconds before continuing to the KDE user login screen. I haven’t installed or downloaded anything new in several days, but this issue appeared very suddenly yesterday morning.
If I hit escape at the first prompt screen, I do get an error as shown in the attachment. I can enter the passphrase normally here and will experience the same issue.
