Has something changed with repositories? I created the repo as I always have. “createrepo_c” runs fine. But I get this message when running kickstart install.
Any ideas?
TIA

For those of us who are not you a comment such as this is meaningless since we have no way to know what your normal process may be.
What is the URL you use for the repo in the kickstart?
Is that URL protocol supported?
The URL is correct. It is exactly the same as I had it for F39. “–baseurl= ‘nfs://192.168.1.103:/kickstart’/repoF40’”
My question was, simply, has there been any changes to dnf, or repo structure for F40?
Thanks all.

No. And the error message is clearly reporting PROTOCOL error which has nothing to do with repo structure.
I would check you have nfs configured as your setup requires.
NFS is configured as reuired. And it is working, since the install can access the kickstart file, as well as the F40 disc image, from the host.
But I did solve tihs:by using another repo with a different URL. Why the second worked, I don’t know.
Now, yet another confusing, midirected message: “kernel version list is not available”
It seems it was supposed to have been fixed in F40 release, but I keep getting it. But it is only when running in VBox. Just need to work aroung that.
Thanks all,
ken
Are you sure? That bug is all about the mail group.
Not about kernel list, or did I miss something?
