Hi,
after a recent update (by dnf upgrade) and a forced shutdown, my Fedora 37 doesn’t complete the boot.
I receive this error message:
6.794582 dracut-pre-udev[405]: sh: line 1: /sbin/sysctl1: No such file or directory
Even trying a boot with oldest version of kernel or in emergency mode, Fedora doesn’t load. (6.2.8-200.FC37.X86_64; 6.2.7-200; 6.1.18-200; 0 -RESCUE).
Is there something I can do to fix it? There are also some red warning messages on journalctl -xb…
HD, with errors, is recognized and mounted by Fedora (I tried with a pen drive), 312GB free of 500…, but home folder is inaccessible (or I’m not able to do this). There is a also file, inode/x-corrupted type…
Thank you for the help
Thank you for the reply.
At the end of last dnf upgrade made, systems started to have problems. No action possible, even the reboot or shutdown. So I pushed the power off button (for 1 second) for theshutdown.
I haven’t got a backup copy of the system :(.

Usually when I see UNC (uncorrectable) errors it means the disk has failed.
If you do not have a backup boot from USB fedora mount the disk and attempt to copy off over the network files you need.
Then replace the disk.
I agree that UNC is almost always a disk failure, and disk failure is consistent with the history:
and the age of the disk:
An alternate recovery path that does not require access to a network store is to move the failed disk to an external case, install the new disk, and then attempt to recover data from the failed disk (and then put a new disk in the external case for backups!).
