Docker containers without connectivity after update to fedora 42

Hi all,
last night zincati updated my fcos vm (running on a FreeBSD (TrueNas Core) host inside bhyve) to Fedora 42.

Since then all my docker containers cannot access the internet. Ping commands from inside the containers fail. Some containers are reachable via their webinterface, some aren’t.

I couldn’t afford longer downtime for investigating so I rolled back to 41 and disabled zincati for now.

Is anyone else experiencing this?
Any ideas on how to approach this?

I noticed that there seems to be a similar problem with regular fedora workstation version: Docker network problem after upgrade f42

But I am unsure if the given solution (reinstalling docker) is the way to go in an atomic os.

This is likely No network for moby containers after updating to 42.20250410.3.1 · Issue #1939 · coreos/fedora-coreos-tracker · GitHub.

Thanks!
So I’ll wait until the next update.
Where can I best monitor whether the fix is shipped so that I can run zincati again?

The issue above is the best place. It’s where we track fixes for Fedora CoreOS.

We’ll release a new update tomorrow with the fix.

For anyone that was hit by this.. Please please consider running testing or next streams, either permanently or periodically (like part of our twice yearly test days) to find issues like this way before they hit stable.
