Hi,
i would like to add some info as i had a similar issue and found help in this thread.
i have a gigabyte b550m ds3h with a firmware of 2022
and a similar grub installation on a different partition from my OSes (fedora in LVM2 and win10)
i had the same experience of my uefi not working as usual after a dnf update on fc43.
except the first issue i got after grub was an error along the lines of
../../grub-core/kern/efi/sb.c:179:prohibited by secure boot policy
i tried to do a grub reinstall and re enroll keys as i was prompted to do so after.
Previous error was gone but no dice.
Then i had the exact same issue as OP..
Boot sequence would manage to run grub but fail afterwards.
My fedora gives nothing but a fully black screen.
And windows got spinning a few times before going black.
Although i found a strange workaround:
if i opened the manual boot menu (not through the bios options but the small list through f12) and selected the right partition to boot it was fine and OSes would run ok.
Still a firmware update just fixed my boot sequence through grub.
Perhaps my workaround can help you whilst you get your firmware ?
