The issue is similar to this, but restarting bluetooth doesn’t solve the problem and I’m on Gnome, not KDE:
I have tried installing a fresh f42 and the problem wasn’t present there, but updating the packages and the kernel made the issue appear again.
More context:
I have tried two different bluetooth audio devices (jbl 650btnc and sony srs x200).
On my headset I can still use the HSP/HPF profile, but the A2DP will instantly cause a bluetooth crash.
I’m using a USB bluetooth dongle.
Debugging options I have tried and failed:
Tried to block HSP/HPF profiles ( this made no sense)
Tried factory reset of the headset
Tried deleting pipewire, wireplumber and bluetooth config
Veryfiedbluez, pipewire, pipewire-pulse and wireplumber packages
Looked for similar issues on pipewire gitlab.
Tried pipewire debug tool, but I could make no sense of it, there are no clear error messages.
Switched to Pluseaudio ( that made wired audio devices fail, so I reverted )
I’m not at home currently, so I can’t say exactly, but i use the latest kernel and the one before this.
A few days ago i’ve tried connecting my headphones again, and the problem was gone, the connection was perfect. No idea what happened. Could it be a kernel update?
Sorry for the delay, I have updated my system recently (it was up to date when I was reporting it and then an update arrived in the meantime) and it works. Thank you for whoever fixed it! Here are the current, working specs:
