Also gaming a little better on fedora (Silverblue). Maybe in Bazzite to much apps pre-installed?
My guess (assuming you are using the RPM package on Fedora and Bazzite is using the Flatpak). Is that Fedora not running Blender in a container gave it a slight edge, but it’s super close. Except for Windows, it’s a little hard to believe it would be that far be hind
No, I am using Silverblue - the same flatpaks.
It would be interesting if others could upload their comparisons of the “Classrom” rendering times fedora versus windows.
I do not know why, but my laptop using 1/4 more energy on windows compared to linux since I bought it in 2020.
It seems obvious if windows using that much power for its services than it cannot dedicate resources to rendering. Terrible how inefficient windows can be. People who care about environment should definitely use Linux.
Or maybe that is just my computer is not very compatible with it.
PLease upload your rendering times, so that we could evaluate it better : )
