Amavis & ClamAV failing to block

With a lot of help, I have Amavis and ClamAV at least working.

However, it won’t block or alert if I send a basic EICAR Virus Test.

Addendum 4/30 @06:58
My system stops eicar.c-m as a file or in a zip. It does not stop if the contents (the string) is in an email, whether that email is html or plain text.
End Addendum

I ran (for good or bad) the tests from Libraesva, and out of 16 test only two really worked, one I think worked:

  1. Test Sender spoofing <<-- Never got this email
  2. Test HTML cleanup <<-- Seemed to work
  3. Test Executable attachment <<-- Worked, never got this email
  4. Test EICAR Virus
  5. Test Outlook conditional comment
  6. Test Dangerous html link
  7. Test Dangerous Zero Width Spaces link
  8. Test Dangerous Base HTML Tag link
  9. Test Dangerous HTML JS Redirect Attachment
  10. Test RFC-Abused HTML Attachment
  11. Test JavaScript Armed PDF Attachment
  12. Test PDF Attachment with dangerous text link
  13. Test PDF Attachment with dangerous link
  14. Test Compressed JavaScript attachment
  15. Test MS Word Attachment with external object
  16. Test EXCEL Auto Open

The virus area of Amavisd.conf (I added the extended “basic + cmd” extension list, took off “basic”, add winzip vulnerabilities and tok or Zip archive data.

What am missing or do I misunderstand the abilities of ClamAV?
