I began playing with Linux in about 2004, by 2007 it was my daily driver. I began Linux-life with Debian and CentOS (like many before me!) switching to Arch around 2011 and thought I had found my forever distro. But when my server provider stopped serving Arch for servers I switched to Fedora in 2019.

I switch between the standard Gnome Desktop with Zellij or Tmux, and a tiling set-up with i3 or Sway. I have also used Xmonad and SpectrWM in the past and I have even started from the Minimal Install to create my own “lean and mean” spin.

Pipewire can be a bit hit and miss in the minimal install, but that’s probably me rather than the tools. One day I will really get my head around Pipewire and solve this.

Neovim for everything and Neorg gives me control over all of the things I need to do. Darktable is my “go to” RAW picture editor. I would love to love Nyxt browser, but I don’t.

I build my own tools for analysis and trading in several markets.
