former developer on Unix with C/C++ and shell scripts. I loved the Korn Shell.
Now, I’m an IT Manager of a development team. The 15 years, I had been a business analyst. I was all about what the applications are supposed to do (business logic/flow) now not only do I need to know that, I need to understand technically the apps that I own. Much has changed, really enjoying dappling in Java and Spring. Now to complete the loop by getting comfortable on Linux. Development seems so much better than before when it was me and my vi editor.
