I am retired after a 34-year IT career. I worked with everything from huge IBM mainframes to minicomputers to large UNIX server hosts to PCs. I mostly did database administration with some systems and applications programming. Now, it’s all PCs at home.

I have run Fedora Workstation on my notebook for about three years. I prefer the Gnome desktop under Wayland. I always use btrfs on my systems.

My largest focus is on software freedom (liberty).
