Since upgrading to F30, I’d starting using the Firefox from flatpak instead of the one on rpm-ostreee. On piece of functionality I found missing is browser 2FA using my yubikey. I assume this is b/c the flatpak doesn’t have access to the hardware? Has anyone else gotten this working? Is there a known workaround?
That’s correct for the moment. I’m still using firefox in rpm-ostree for exactly this reason.
It’s being looked at from a few different directions: https://github.com/xhorak/firefox-devedition-flatpak/issues/51 (a bug report against a specific flatpak build of firefox) as well as more generally: https://github.com/flatpak/flatpak/issues/2764 - the latter one is probably more relevant because while they probably are hacks that could get it to work (as suggested in the first link), they’re not going prop up the isolation benefit that comes with using flatpaks, so it’s better to tackle the problem at the flatpak level.
