I have a problem after the Fedora 36 update which introduced kernel version 5.17.7. The X-server GNOME session appears to be broken. I can only use Wayland now without any issues. The Xorg server crashes when I login to GNOME. Note that before this update it was working properly.

Yes, I use the NVIDIA driver and when I try to login to a GNOME X-session the Xorg server crashes. I have the log in the following:

For the newer kernels 5.17.8 and 5.17.9 the problem remains.
Hello, i also got the same issue. tried reinstalling several times, rolling back to previous kernel, no luck…

i had a similar issue, for me it was an selinux issue, check the selinux troubleshooter
